‘doctors-removed-testicles-without-informing-family’:kin-accuse-jhabua-hospital-of-conspiracy-after-55-year-old’s-death,-protest-with-body;-probe-on

A case of alleged medical negligence has been reported at a private hospital in Thandla town of Jhabua district, following the death of a 55-year-old man during treatment.
The deceased man’s family has accused doctors of removing both his testicles without their knowledge or consent, allegedly under the pretext of surgery for spinal cancer. On Saturday, enraged family members and villagers staged a protest outside the hospital, placing the body in an ambulance. Police were deployed at the site to prevent any untoward incident. Allegations after death during treatment The deceased, Tansingh Bhuria (55), a resident of Jhadadabar village, was the husband of village sarpanch Gavra. According to an application submitted by his son Tolu Bhuria to SDOP Neeraj Namdev, Tansingh had been unwell for the past one-and-a-half years and was undergoing treatment at K.K. Shah Hospital in Thandla. The family stated that initial medical examinations were conducted by Baroda-based specialist Dr Ankit Shah, who diagnosed cancer in the spinal cord. ‘Testicles removed without informing family’ According to the family, Tansingh initially received treatment in Baroda about 18 months ago. Later, the doctor reportedly assured them that the surgery could be performed at the Thandla hospital itself. The family alleges that during the operation, doctors removed both of Tansingh’s testicles without informing or taking consent from the patient or his relatives. They claim they were only told about surgery related to spinal cancer. Other doctors raised suspicion After the surgery, Tansingh’s condition reportedly deteriorated steadily, leaving him unable to even get out of bed. When the family took him to other hospitals for further examination, doctors there allegedly informed them that the patient did not have testicles. This revelation raised serious doubts in the minds of the family regarding the treatment and surgery performed at the Thandla hospital. Family say they took loans for treatment Despite continuous treatment, Tansingh eventually died. Following his death, family members and villagers brought the body in an ambulance to K.K. Shah Hospital and staged a protest. The family claimed they had taken loans and arranged a large sum of money for his treatment, yet his life could not be saved. Police deployed, probe ordered After receiving information about the incident, SDOP Neeraj Namdev reached the spot. He said a complaint has been received from the family and that all facts are being thoroughly investigated. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry. Given the seriousness of the situation, police personnel have been deployed outside the hospital. The hospital management and doctors have not issued any statement or clarification so far.
