A 15-year-old Class 12 student was crushed to death by a speeding truck while on his way to coaching in Banmore on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred on National Highway-44. The student was crossing the road when a truck coming from the front hit him and ran him over. He died on the spot. After the incident, driver abandoned the truck and fled. Police have seized the vehicle. The deceased has been identified as Prashant Jatav (15), son of Suresh Jatav, a resident of Gangaram Ka Pura, Banmore. He had left home around 8 am to attend coaching classes.

Banmore police station in-charge Dipendra Yadav said that police reached the spot immediately after receiving information about the incident.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and the family has been informed. Police seized the truck and efforts are underway to trace the absconding driver.
