Three people were killed and more than 12 injured after a Trax Cruiser collided with a container on National Highway-30 in Maihar late Monday night. The accident occurred near Nadan area, close to Tilora village. The container driver fled the spot immediately after the collision and is currently absconding. According to information, the Trax Cruiser bearing registration number MP 20 ZY 2807 was carrying around 15 to 20 passengers. All occupants were residents of NKG Pakariya in Katni district and were travelling to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. While moving on the highway, the vehicle rammed into a container from behind. Impact leaves passengers trapped The collision was severe, leaving all passengers injured and triggering chaos at the scene. Local residents rushed to help even before police arrived. After receiving information, police teams and ambulances reached the spot and began rescue operations. The injured were shifted to Maihar Civil Hospital. The deceased have been identified as Dhonga Patel (50), son of Kalu Ram Patel, and two others, including the vehicle driver, one of whom remains unidentified. Both unidentified victims died while being referred to Katni. The condition of 12 injured passengers is reported to be serious.
