In Mainai of Rahli in Sagar, a mother’s body was found hanging along with her two sons at home. In this case, the deceased’s family has made serious allegations against the in-laws. Rajni’s brother accused his brother-in-law Rajesh Lodhi, saying that the brother-in-law had a relationship with his own sister-in-law. His sister had found out about this. There were frequent disputes between them over this matter. During these disputes, brother-in-law Rajesh would abuse and beat his sister. The husband’s torture became the cause of death for the sister and her two innocent sons. We suspect that the in-laws killed my sister and her two sons because when we reached home, all three bodies were placed on the ground. Attempts were made to talk to the in-laws about the matter. But they did not respond. Dainik Bhaskar reached the village to learn about this tragic incident and spoke with the family, read the report… First read the sequence of events In village Mainai on Thursday night, bodies of a mother and two sons were found hanging from nooses in a room of the house. The deceased’s brother-in-law Brajesh, son of Gopi Lodhi resident of Mainai, told police that on Thursday night around 8 o’clock, I and my younger brother Rajesh Lodhi had gone to irrigate the field. We returned around 9:45 at night. We both went to our respective rooms. Rajesh screamed as soon as he entered the room. I ran to his room. There I saw my sister-in-law Rachana wife of Rajesh Lodhi (32), nephew Rishabh Lodhi (5) and Ram Lodhi (2) hanging from separate nooses. Immediately both of us cut the ropes and brought them down from the nooses, but by then all three had died. The family has no knowledge of why they took such a step of suicide. FSL team collected evidence from crime scene Police started investigation as soon as they received information about the incident. The FSL team has collected evidence related to the crime from the scene. The bodies of mother and sons were hanging from a shelf in a room built in the mud house. Their lengths were measured. A bed was placed right below it. Items were kept around. Police have sealed the room after investigation. Deceased was part of joint family, all lived together in same house Deceased Rachna’s husband Rajesh Lodhi had three brothers. Rajesh is the youngest. Elder brother Devendra Lodhi passed away about one and a half years ago. His wife, one son and three daughters live in the house. Middle brother Brajesh Lodhi lives with his wife, one son and one daughter. Mother Prayagrani also lives in the house. Father Gopi Singh Lodhi lives in the house built on the farm. At the time of the incident, Rajesh and brother Brajesh Lodhi were at the farm. Other family members were in their respective rooms. The deceased Rachna was in her room with both her sons. Brother-in-law’s relationship with sister-in-law, that’s why he used to beat Kansal Pipariya resident and deceased’s brother Ravindra Lodhi alleged that his sister did not commit suicide, she was murdered. There had been tension in the house for one and a half years. Brother-in-law’s elder brother had died about one and a half years ago due to illness. Brother-in-law Rajesh had developed a relationship with his sister-in-law. Rachana found out about this and informed family members. Upon learning of the matter, several attempts were made to counsel them. They sat down to talk and give advice, but the situation could not be controlled. To hide their misdeeds, they killed the sister and her children. A day before the incident, Rachana had spoken to her elder uncle when we had gone to Khurai for a family function. She had said she would return to her in-laws’ house, but on Thursday night we were informed that Rachana had hanged herself with her children. Upon receiving the information, we reached the spot where the bodies were lying on the ground. They told us that Rachana and the children had hanged themselves. We had taken down the bodies. The brother has demanded a thorough investigation of the case and strict action against the culprits with punishment. She stayed with us, she cannot commit suicide Sister-in-law Priyanshi Lodhi said that sister-in-law Rachna lived with us. We knew her well, she cannot commit suicide. She has been murdered. She had told about her relationship with brother-in-law. This is the main reason for the sequence of events. Brother-in-law would abuse and beat her every day. He would say he was going from home to field, but he would stay at home. If we had known something like this, we would have brought sister-in-law Rachna home. There were red and blue marks on the body Rachana’s brother alleged that when we reached home, sister Rachana and the children’s bodies were on the ground. When the women of the family saw the sister’s body, there were red and blue marks on her back and feet. Looking at the body, it seemed that Rachana had been beaten. Videos of the marks found on the body have also been made.
