Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav arrived in Ujjain on Monday and inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple development projects worth Rs 129 crore, aimed at strengthening infrastructure ahead of Simhastha 2028. The programme was held at a grand public venue set up at Nanakheda Ground. Major push for Simhastha 2028 preparations From the Nanakheda venue, the Chief Minister performed the Bhoomi Pujan (foundation laying) and inauguration of several civic development works to be executed through the Ujjain Municipal Corporation.
These projects are intended to improve road connectivity, urban infrastructure, and public facilities across the city in preparation for the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela. Launch of digital and skill development initiatives On the occasion, CM Dr Yadav also unveiled the UtkarshUjjain.com portal. In addition, he launched the Kaushal Setu – Industry-Led Skill Development Programme and Project Swadhyay (Coding for All), initiatives aimed at enhancing employability and digital skills among youth. CM reaches venue as per schedule According to the official programme, the Chief Minister reached Nanakheda Stadium at 3:00 pm. All the announced development works will be implemented by the Ujjain Municipal Corporation across various parts of the city.
