Notably, Kohli seemed in great touch scoring his fifty in just 29 balls and was cruising toward second successive century in domestic one-day tournament. However, left arm spinner from Gujarat Vishal Jayswal foiled former India Test captan’s efforts, leaving him 23 runs short of another ton. It was a flighted delivery that turned back in. Judging the flight, Virat stepped out for a big hit but he missed it and the keeper dismissed him behind the stumps. Even though batting stalwart seemed disappointed with dismissal, he gave a special gift to Jayswal after Delhi won the match. Clinical bowling performance from Gujarat spinner In addition to Kohli’s dismissal, Jayswal also clean bowled Rishabh Pant and dismissed Arpit Rana and Nitish Rana to finish with impressive match figures of 4/42 in his ten overs. Due to his excellent spell, Delhi were restricted to 254/9 in 50 overs. However, the target still proved to be out of reach for Gujarat, who lost the match by seven runs after being bundled out for 247 in 47.4 overs.
