A serious case of alleged drunken driving has surfaced in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. A BJP youth leader rammed his car into three pedestrians in Porsa town. Angry locals thrashed him on the spot and handed him over to the police. However, he later escaped from police custody. A case has been registered, and police are searching for him. Incident in Porsa town The incident took place in Porsa town of Morena district. The accused has been identified as Dipendra Bhadoria, president of the Nagra Mandal unit of BJP Yuva Morcha. He was driving his Swift car under the influence of alcohol. Hit pedestrians one after another According to eyewitnesses, the BJP leader first hit one pedestrian and then went on to hit two more people. Instead of stopping, he continued driving recklessly. During this, his car also collided with another vehicle on the road. Locals assault accused leader After the collision, people present at the spot chased the accused. Angry locals caught him and beat him up. They later handed him over to the Porsa police. After being taken into police custody, the accused BJP leader managed to escape from the spot. The circumstances of his escape are being questioned. Police register case, search on Police have registered a case in connection with the incident. Teams have been formed to trace the absconding accused. Officials said efforts are on to arrest him at the earliest. Following the incident, tension has prevailed in the area. Police presence has been increased to prevent any further disturbance. Authorities have assured strict action once the accused is caught.
