Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are returning to play Vijay Hazare Trophy for first time after seven years and 15 years respectively. Both of India’s star cricketers are set to play the first match of the domestic ODI tournament for Mumbai and Delhi today. Mumbai will play Sikkim in Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Meanwhile, Delhi is scheduled to play Andhra in Bengaluru. The original venue for the Delhi match was the KSCA Alur Stadium, but later the KSCA requested to shift the game to Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, Bengaluru police did not allow the match to be played at both venues due to security concerns. Kohli will play under Rishabh Pant’s captaincy for Delhi Virat Kohli is set to play only two games. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant will lead Delhi in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. The star cricketer has maintained an excellent record in the domestic one-day tournament with an average of 68 and a strike rate of 106.25.
