In Mandsaur’s Mau Khedi village, a violent clash erupted between two groups over an old Sarpanch election rivalry, leaving one man dead and his son seriously injured. Police say that on Thursday night, 20-year-old Ajay Rai Singh, who was delivering milk, was stopped by four villagers and threatened. Two of the attackers allegedly carried 12-bore guns. When Ajay’s father, Bhanendra Singh (40), went to the accused’s field to intervene, the dispute escalated into a violent attack involving knives and sticks. Police said, During the conversation, one of the accused suddenly stabbed Bhanendra Singh in the stomach. After this, Ajay was also attacked with knives and sticks. Seriously injured Bhanendra was being taken to the hospital by his family, but he died on the way. The body has been kept in the district hospital’s mortuary. A post-mortem will be conducted today.
