A two-story building collapsed suddenly in Khandwa, turning into rubble within seconds. The building housed a well-known wholesale medical store, but as Thursday was a weekly holiday, no employees were present, preventing any casualties. The incident took place in Bhairav Talab Ward near Padawa. A market is under construction adjacent to the building. Neighbours said deep excavation for the market had weakened the building’s foundation. Eyewitness Shoaib said three workers were on the construction site when a cloud of dust rose from the building. “I realised the building might collapse and shouted. All three workers moved away, and the building fell about 19 minutes later,” he said. Local resident Dilip Yadav said, “The deep pit made it look like an accident could happen. Thankfully, no one was hurt.” Post navigation Leopard signs dominate Day1 of tiger census in Indore:Survey under All India Tiger Estimation finds tiger signs in 21, leopard presence in 74 beats Lalwani flags chaos at Indore airport, aviation minister orders review:Member of Parliament raises delays and passenger issues; Airport Authority directors to inspect facilities
