Varun Chakaravarthy has scripted history, becoming the highest-rated Indian bowler in men’s T20I history, as per a latest ICC update on Wednesday, 17 December. The Indian spinner has gained a whopping 818 rating points, which is the highest by any Indian bowler. With this, he increases his lead at the top of the ICC rankings for bowlers in men’s T20Is. The 34-year-old had become the No. 1-ranked bowler in T20Is in September this year. He has been in very good form in the shortest format of the game. Varun recently became the second-fastest Indian bowler to get 50 wickets in men’s T20Is, with a two-wicket haul against South Africa in the third T20I. Pakistan’s Umar Gul remains the highest-rated bowler in men’s T20Is, with 865 rating points.
