Shafali Verma was named ICC Player of the Month for November 2025, the International Cricket Council announced on Monday, 15 December. Verma had helped India beat South Africa in the final to win the ICC Women’s World Cup on 2 November. This is the first time that Shafali has won the award. Thailand’s Thipatcha Putthawong and the UAE’s Esha Oza were the other nominees for the award for November 2025. Shafali’s all-round show in ICC Women’s World Cup final Shafali was not originally part of the Indian team in ICC Women’s World Cup. She was drafted in as a replacement after Pratika Rawal got injured while fielding. Although she could not make much of an impact in the semi-final against Australia, Shafali made her presence felt with both bat and ball in the final, which was against South Africa.
