A 45-year-old farmer from Bhind died after receiving an injection at a private clinic. Family members claim his condition worsened immediately, with symptoms such as itching, shortness of breath, and foaming at the mouth. He was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead. The incident has left the family devastated, especially as wedding preparations were underway for the elder daughter. Patient receives injection The incident happened on Saturday in Mihona. Akhilendra Pratap Singh Rajawat, also known as Neeru, a resident of Jagapura village, went to Dr Vijay Bengali’s clinic for treatment of cold and cough. Family members said the doctor gave an injection without proper examination. Soon after the injection, Akhilendra started experiencing severe reactions. Rushed to hospital Akhilendra was immediately taken to Lahar Civil Hospital. Doctors at the hospital declared him dead on arrival. Police investigation Mihona police arrived at the scene and conducted a post-mortem examination. The body was later handed over to the family. Police said further action would be taken based on the post-mortem report and investigation findings. Akhilendra is survived by two daughters and two sons. The family is in deep sorrow, as the elder daughter’s engagement had taken place on 3 December and wedding preparations were ongoing. Allegations of negligence The family has alleged that Akhilendra died due to the wrong injection and the doctor’s negligence. Authorities are investigating the case, pending the post-mortem results.
