Dhar police have solved the mystery of a woman’s murder in Dhamnod. The woman was killed by her live-in partner. He had seen the woman in objectionable circumstances with someone else. Police arrested the accused and presented him in court. From there, he was sent to jail. On December 9, 2025, Sunita alias Kunta’s body was found in the old Raidas locality of Dhamnod. Police registered a case and started an investigation. The postmortem report that came on Friday revealed signs of beating, burn marks on her body, and swelling in her private parts. Her limbs were also bent, which made it clear that the woman had been treated cruelly. Police investigation revealed that Sunita had been living separately from her husband for many years and was in a live-in relationship with Ajay alias Ravi Chauhan. Ajay is a resident of Sirsa in Badwah. Both had shifted to a rented house in Dhamnod just seven days before the incident. Death on the spot due to excessive bleeding Police said that on the day of the incident, when Ajay returned home from work, he saw Sunita in a suspicious condition with another person. Upon seeing Ajay, he fled from the spot. In anger, Ajay struck Sunita’s head with a rolling pin kept in the kitchen. She fell to the ground. Ajay also burned Sunita’s private parts with matches. Due to excessive bleeding, Sunita died on the spot. Accused arrested, court sent to jail Dharampuri Station In-charge Santosh Yadav said – The accused Ajay was arrested from his house in Badwah on December 11. He was presented in court today. The court has sent him to the Dharampuri jail.
