This report by popular community platform LocalCircles has claimed that over 81% of air travelers in the last year have reported falling victim to fraud on airline websites or apps. This survey, done on over 1.24 lakh passengers from 302 districts across the country, revealed that scams are occurring during processes like ticket booking, seat selection, insurance, and ticket cancellation and refund.
