Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on the second day of the chaired the cabinet meeting in Khajuraho on Tuesday.
After the cabinet meeting Yadav while addressing the media has announced that four news medical colleges will be established in the Bundelkhand region in the coming years. These institutions will be established in Damoh, Tikamgarh, Panna and Katni.
He also announced that the Damoh’s ‘Jhapad Nala Medium Irrigation Project’ has been approved at a cost of Rs 165 crore. Major infrastructure push: New industrial park in Sagar Taking a step further for industrial sector growth in the state, CM Yadav announced that Sagar will soon get a major industrial park, expected to bring over Rs 24,000 crore investment and create 30,000 jobs. Additionally, the Sagar–Damoh four-lane road project has been approved, which will connect two National Highways and improve regional connectivity. A five-star hotel with a convention hall will be developed in Khajuraho on a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model to enhance tourism and infrastructure. Boost to tourism sector: New safari buses for Panna National Park To strengthen tourism, the state government has allocated large buses for Panna National Park.
Yadav said the jungle safari in Panna is evolving into a heritage experience not only for tigers but also for elephants, whose population is steadily growing. Ten new canter safari buses have been introduced to accommodate large groups. Ministers experience Panna Tiger Reserve Safari On Tuesday morning, several ministers — including Prahlad Patel, Vijay Shah, Inder Singh Parmar, Lakhan Patel and Dilip Ahirwar— visited Panna Tiger Reserve through the Madla Gate and enjoyed a jungle safari. Field Director Naresh Yadav welcomed them and presented the official PTR caps.
Ministers Prahlad Patel and Lakhan Patel said they spotted tigers twice, describing the wildlife as “very healthy”. Ahirwar called the safari “a wonderful experience.” New medical colleges from next academic session Madhya Pradesh State Minister of Forest and Environment Dilip Ahirwar said that for the first time, a Chief Minister stayed in Khajuraho for three days for Cabinet meetings. He said that medical colleges in Panna, Damoh, Katni and Tikamgarh will be operational from the next academic session. Cheetahs to arrive from Botswana in January Madhya Pradesh will receive 8 cheetahs from Botswana in January as part of the expansion of the cheetah reintroduction programme. Currently, there are 28 cheetahs in Kuno and 2 in Gandhi Sagar. New reintroduction work will be carried out in Durgavati and Nauradehi sanctuaries. Other key announcements
