Four employees died and five others became critically ill after eating dinner at a resort in Khajuraho, Chhatarpur. All nine staff members fell sick within minutes of the meal. The administration has launched a full investigation, and food samples have been sent for testing. Employees fall ill after dinner On Monday evening, nine employees at Gautam Resort ate their usual meal around 5 PM. The food included potato and cauliflower curry.Soon after eating, all of them began to feel unwell.The affected staff members were: Hardik Soni (20), Pragilal Kushwaha (54), Golu Agnihotri (25), Bihari Lal Patel (60), Ramswaroop Kushwaha (47), Ravi Kaudar (19), Dayaram Kushwaha (65), Roshni Rajak (30), and Girija Rajak (35).All of them live in Khajuraho and nearby villages. Severe symptoms reported The employees developed symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness, and anxiety.They were taken to the Chhatarpur District Hospital in serious condition. Doctors suspect food poisoning Dr Roshan Dwivedi, Senior Physician at the District Hospital, said that all nine staff members showed signs of food poisoning.They were given first aid.However, their condition worsened late at night.The hospital then referred all nine to Jhansi Medical College for better treatment. Police and Health Department begin probe After receiving the report, the health department and police reached the resort.Police seized food samples and questioned the resort staff.The health department collected samples related to food, water, and kitchen cleanliness.These have been sent for laboratory testing.Officials said the exact cause will be known only after the reports arrive.The administration also issued strict instructions to the resort regarding food safety and hygiene. Patients referred to Jhansi and Gwalior Six patients were first shifted from Chhatarpur to Jhansi.Later, three of them were moved to Gwalior due to their critical condition.Family members said that all employees had eaten the same meal before falling sick. Four employees die in Gwalior Those referred to Jhansi were: Girija Rajak (35), Roshni Rajak (35), Hardik Soni (20), Ramswaroop Kushwaha (47), Ravi (19), and Golu Agnihotri (25).From this group, Ramswaroop Kushwaha and Girija Rajak, along with two others, were shifted to Gwalior.All four were being treated in the poison ward of New JAH Hospital.They died during treatment.
