Congress MLA from Pohari Kailash Kushwah has alleged that he received death threats over the phone from a sarpanch’s husband, prompting police to register a case in Shivpuri district. A complaint has been filed at the Kotwali police station, following which the accused, Prabhat Rawat, was booked. Accused allegedly abused, threatened MLA over phone According to MLA Kushwah, the incident occurred on the night of December 7, when Prabhat Rawat allegedly called him, hurled abuses, and issued a death threat. Rawat reportedly told the MLA, You have been posting too many videos these days. I will make you forget making videos and doing politics. MLA says accused had threatened him earlier as well The MLA further alleged that this was not the first instance. Rawat had previously posted threatening comments on his Facebook account, for which he had complained to the Superintendent of Police’s office. Case registered under BNS and IT Act According to Head Constable Rajveer Singh, after initial investigation, a case has been registered against the accused under: Police are examining the Call Detail Records (CDR) and other technical evidence.
