Four people died on the spot, and one was critically injured after two motorcycles collided head-on on the Sagar–Kanpur Highway near Ruravan village late Monday night. According to initial information, one bike was travelling from Banda to Shahgarh, while the other was coming from Shahgarh towards Banda. Near Ruravan, both vehicles crashed head-on at high speed, causing a massive impact. The collision triggered panic on the road, and traffic remained halted for some time. Police response After receiving the alert, personnel from Chanbila Police Station and SDOP Pradeep Valmiki reached the spot. The police conducted an inquest and sent the bodies for post-mortem to Banda Hospital. The injured youth was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Victims identified Station in-charge Kamalkishore Maurya said that two of the deceased were from Banda and two from the Chanbila area. Gaurav and Anand have been identified among the victims, while efforts are underway to confirm the identities of the remaining two. Probe underway Police officials stated that an investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
