Indian women’s cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and singer Palash Muchhal’s wedding, originally scheduled for 23 November in Sangli, has been postponed. The decision comes after Smriti’s father fell seriously ill. Both families are under emotional stress, and the couple has requested privacy during this time. Family visits hospital On Tuesday morning, Palash Muchhal’s sister, singer Palak Muchhal, was spotted outside SRV Hospital in Mumbai. The reason for her visit has not been officially confirmed. Smriti’s father remains admitted and has not yet been discharged. Palak’s message on social media Palak Muchhal shared on Instagram: “The wedding has been postponed due to Smriti’s father’s health. Palash’s health also affected Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, told news channels that he was very close to Smriti’s father. Seeing him unwell caused Palash great emotional stress. His health suddenly deteriorated, and he was admitted to the hospital for four hours. He received an IV drip, ECG, and other tests. All results were normal, but he remains stressed. Both Smriti and Palash are under considerable emotional strain. Wedding announcement and social media updates Smriti had previously announced the wedding with a humorous video featuring friends Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav, and Arundhati Reddy.
