Congress tribal wing and Bajrang Dal clash in Jabalpur:Hindu organisation went to protest at SP office over book allegedly insulting religious deities

After a book dispute in Jabalpur on Sunday, workers of Hindu organisations and SC-ST-OBC Congress groups clashed on Tuesday. Hindu leaders went to the SP’s office to demand action against the book’s author, with police assuring an investigation. Meanwhile, SC-ST and OBC workers filed a complaint at Omaty police station, calling the allegations against their MLA and workers baseless. After leaving the SP’s office, Hindu organisation workers learned that Congress SC-ST and OBC members were at Omaty police station. Some, including women, arrived covering their faces and carrying sticks. Both groups confronted each other, and some Hindu women wielded sticks. Regarding the commotion, CSP Ritesh Kumar Shiv said, Hindu organisations had submitted a memorandum to the SP office and senior officials had assured an investigation. Similarly, workers of SC-ST and OBC organisations had also reached Omaty police station, where they were assured of resolution of their complaints. Police registered FIR against unknown persons Meanwhile, some women and youths reached the police station from the Ghantaghar side with sticks. Police controlled the crowd and prevented any serious situation from arising. The CSP said, FIR has been registered against unknown persons based on the complaint of the SC-ST and OBC organizations. The complaint alleges that some people tried to assault with sticks and swords. Police are investigating the CCTV footage of the incident site. Currently, an FIR has been registered against unknown accused. Objectionable books sold at Manas Bhawan Swami Akhileshwaranand said a book stall at a Sunday event in Manas Bhawan sold books with objectionable content about Hindu deities. The publisher, Lalai Singh Yadav, had books banned by the UP High Court nearly 30 years ago. He demanded an investigation into how the banned books reached the event.
