Palash Muchhal hospitalised after Smriti Mandhana’s father’s hospitalisation:Singer’s mother shares health updates; couple pre-wedding pictures deleted from Insta; wedding postponed

Following the hospitalisation of cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s father, which led to the postponement of her wedding, her fiancé, music composer Palash Muchhal, was also admitted to a hospital in Sangli. As per reports of Hindustan Times, Palash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, shared an update on his health, stating that he has returned to Mumbai and is currently resting and recovering. She explained that the stress of the situation had taken a toll on his health. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Amita Muchhal revealed the deep bond between Palash and Smriti’s father. “Palash is extremely attached to Smriti’s father… They are even closer than Smriti is with him,” she said. “When he fell ill, it was Palash who decided, even before Smriti, that they should not proceed with the wedding rituals until he got better.” Amita further explained that the emotional strain had affected Palash’s well-being. “Since the Haldi ceremony was already done, we didn’t let him go outside. He cried so much that his health suddenly deteriorated,” she recounted. “They kept him in the hospital for four hours. He was given an IV drip, an ECG was done, and other tests were carried out. Everything came back normal, but he is under a lot of stress.” She added that Palash is now feeling better and resting, but the stress remains. His sister, Palak Muchhal, has also left Sangli to be with him in Mumbai. Palash’s mother confirmed that he and Smriti have decided to postpone their wedding due to the sudden health scare involving Smriti’s father. She emphasised that the couple is deeply shaken by the situation and is prioritising his well-being. The wedding will be rescheduled once Smriti’s father has fully recovered.
Though the Instagram users noticed something more, the pre-wedding events pictures were also removed from Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s Instagram account, which has left their fans surprised, who had been eagerly waiting for updates. Following the postponement of her wedding, Smriti Mandhana has removed all wedding-related content from her Instagram account. Her manager, Tuhin Mishra, clarified that the wedding will only proceed once her father has fully recovered. In contrast, Palash Muchhal’s Instagram account still features the video of his proposal to Smriti. The video captures the romantic moment at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, where Smriti recently played a pivotal role in India’s ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 victory.
