A 29-year-old man from Gwalior, Manish Rajput, wrote a two‑page suicide note saying he was trapped from all sides and had no way out. In the note, found a month after he died, he asked his father for forgiveness and named the people who took large amounts of money from him by promising a job and business investment. He also wrote that these people betrayed him and threatened him when he asked for his money back. Police investigation shows that Manish was trapped in fake job offers and betting schemes. After taking his money, the accused kept delaying and threatened to frame him in false cases. Under constant pressure, Manish became depressed and died by suicide on October 10 by hanging himself at his home in Sirol. In the note, he wrote that he had given 3 lakh rupees to Mahavir Yadav for a job, but neither did he get the job nor his money back. After this, Manish gave 3.70 lakh rupees to Manish Sonwar, but he also ran away somewhere. He lost 2 lakh rupees to Rahul Chaudhary, 3 lakh to Satyendra Dhakad, 1 lakh to Harendra Rajput, and 15 lakh rupees to Ramkumar Dhakad. In betting, Bholu Mandelia took 20 to 25 lakh rupees from him, and Mukul Kumar took 8 to 10 lakh rupees. Manish wrote, “I could not be a good son. May God never give you a child like me.” He also stated that he had attempted suicide twice before, but could not muster the courage. Total fraud of 74 lakh rupees The investigation revealed that Manish was defrauded of a total of approximately 74 lakh rupees. This included 10.70 lakh rupees for getting a job, approximately 45 lakh rupees lost in betting and as debt, and 18 lakh rupees given to other individuals. Case filed against 8 accused Based on the suicide note and available evidence, the police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against eight people. The accused include Mahavir Yadav, Manish Sonwar, Rahul Chaudhary, Satyendra Dhakad, Harendra Rajput, Ramkumar Dhakad, Bholu Mandelia, and Mukul Kumar. Cases have been registered against all of them, and action has been initiated. Sirol Police Station in-charge Govind Bagli said, “The investigation revealed that Manish was constantly threatened, his money was not returned, and he was mentally harassed.
