Rinku Singh, who gained overnight fame by hitting five consecutive sixes in IPL 2023, is today counted among the most reliable finishers in Indian cricket. Rinku Singh recently said that there is a struggle in every field. Behind everyone’s success in life lies a story of hard struggle. There has been a struggle behind my success, too. My father wanted me to work with him; he didn’t think I would be able to play good cricket. But, I wanted to tell my father that I can play good cricket, now he is also very happy with my success. Rinku Singh had come to participate in the Brahman Premier League organised in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, during which Dainik Bhaskar’s team had a special conversation with him. Regarding his fiancée and MP Priya Saroj, he said, “Her job is to do politics, and my job is to play cricket. I have no intention of going into politics. Answer: Struggle is present in everyone’s life. Of course, the family fully supported me, but my mother’s contribution was the most important. Due to the weak financial situation, my father did not want me to play cricket. He wanted me to work with him. But my mother always maintained her support, and I also continued to work hard. As a result, God has given me everything. Question: What does the father who once stopped you from playing cricket says now? Answer: Initially, my father didn’t believe that I would become such a big cricket player. That’s why he didn’t want me to play cricket. I was determined to prove him wrong. But now, seeing my success, he is very happy and feels proud of me. Question: Is an academy necessary for youngsters pursuing a career in cricket, what do you think? Answer- Hard work is essential in every field, and a positive mindset is crucial. Whether you join an academy or play cricket on the field, hard work is very important. The talent of a good player naturally comes to the fore. But for this, continuous hard work is necessary. Question: Did you ever dream of becoming a part of the Indian cricket team? Answer: I never thought I would get a place in Team India. I chose cricket to enjoy it and always strived to do better in it. When I played well, I got people’s support. I never thought of becoming a star in cricket. The blessings of loved ones and one’s own hard work are what take you forward. Whatever I have achieved so far is the result of hard work. I never thought I would be a part of the Indian cricket team. Question: What is the experience like for a player to sit in the dressing room? Answer: Every player dreams of playing for the Indian team and sharing the dressing room with big players. This experience is very special. Sitting in the dressing room is a matter of pride in itself and also a lot of fun. Question: Was hitting five sixes in five balls a changing moment in your career? Answer: I kept working hard in cricket, and things gradually fell into place. During that match, I wasn’t making proper contact with the bat, but I didn’t give up. God’s blessings worked, and I got what I hadn’t even imagined. Five sixes were hit, which truly proved to be life-changing for me. Question: You recently got engaged to MP Priya Saroj. How will you balance politics and sports? Answer: My entire focus is only on cricket, while politics is her field. She does her work and I do mine. Regarding wedding preparations, Rinku Singh said that preparations are underway, but the wedding date has not been decided yet. When the date is fixed, everyone will know.
