Woman dies as pickup truck overturns in Vidisha, 15 injured:10 critically injured, including children; devotees were heading back from Karila Dham

A pickup full of devotees returning from Karila Dham overturned in the Haidargarh police station area of Vidisha district.The accident happened near a culvert close to Himmatpur on Monday morning. Vehicle lost control The pickup (registration number MP 04 GB 0776) reportedly became uncontrollable due to high speed.The vehicle overturned suddenly, leaving several passengers injured. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Laxmibai Kushwaha, a resident of Madanai village. She died on the spot.Her post-mortem is being conducted at Gyaraspur Hospital. Ten seriously injured A total of 15 passengers suffered injuries.Ten people were seriously hurt and have been referred to Vidisha District Hospital.They include five women, three girls, and two children, one of whom is only one-and-a-half years old. Minor injuries Treated Locally The pickup driver, Manohar Kushwaha (30), also received minor injuries.Another woman, a 15-year-old girl, and a five-year-old child were treated for minor wounds at Gyaraspur Hospital. Passengers from Dhamnod area All those travelling in the pickup are residents of Dhamnod village and nearby areas.They were returning home after visiting Karila Dham. Police teams from Gyaraspur and Haidargarh reached the spot soon after receiving the alert.Additional Superintendent of Police Prashant Choubey confirmed the death and the number of injured passengers.A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
