A 28-year-old property dealer, Manish Vyas, committed suicide on Friday by jumping in front of a train in Suwasra. A suicide note found at the scene accused BJP leader Amjad Pathan of swindling ₹45 lakh. Manish wrote that he was fed up with their harassment and threats. In the note, he referred to Amjad Pathan, the district vice-president of BJP Minority Morcha, as ‘Mafia Pathan’ and said the leader did not return the borrowed money. The property dealer also accused Amjad’s brother Azam Pathan and his family of harassment. The note stated, “I am fed up with their atrocities. Amjad conspired to trap me, whereas I had only helped. There is an atmosphere of tension in the area since the incident. Under the leadership of the Sarva Hindu Samaj organization, hundreds of villagers surrounded the Suwasra police station, raising slogans against Amjad Pathan and his family. The protesters demanded immediate action against the culprits. They demanded that a case of murder be registered against the accused. BJP assured investigation in the matter
