More than one crore worth of cannabis has been seized in Khargone. It was being cultivated in the no-mobile-network zone of the tribal hilly area. Police discovered it by searching with a drone. Here, 3200 cannabis plants were seized, with a total weight of 35.51 quintals. Its value has been estimated at 1 crore 77 lakh 56 thousand 200 rupees. The cultivation is in Nawadiya Phalya village of Tandawadi, bordering Maharashtra. Accused Tidiya Jamre had cultivated it in three different parts of the field. It took several hours for Helapadawa outpost and Chainpur police station personnel to uproot these plants. The team walked 3 kilometers through the forest to reach the field and uprooted all the plants, seizing them in vehicles. Accused absconding, case registered under NDPS Act During the raid, the accused Tidiya Jamre fled from the spot, while his house was found locked. A case has been registered against him under section 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Chainpur police station. Police said that a special team has been formed to expose the entire network of this illegal cultivation.
