A dispute over eight bighas of land between two brothers in Ashoknagar turned violent. In the attack involving swords, sticks, and clubs, three family members died: a maternal uncle, his nephew, and their maternal grandfather. The grandfather and nephew died on the spot, while the uncle succumbed to injuries en route to Bhopal. Khilan Singh Yadav (75), owner of 8 bighas of land in Karaiya Bainet, Kachnar area, lived with his elder son, Rajmahendra, who had sown mustard in the field. On Wednesday evening, Khilan Singh’s younger son, Krishnabhan, arrived with his nephew Pawan on a tractor and began plowing the sown field, triggering a dispute between the two sides. Clash over land possession An argument that started over land possession turned into violence. On one side were the younger son Krishnabhan and his nephew Pawan, while on the other side were the elder son Rajmahendra and their father Khilan Singh. It is alleged that both sides attacked each other with axes, swords, and sticks. Pawan Yadav and Khilan Singh died on the spot. Seriously injured Krishnabhan Yadav was referred to Bhopal for treatment at night, but he also succumbed to his injuries on the way. Krishnabhan’s post-mortem will be conducted in Bhopal. Meanwhile, Pawan Yadav and Khilan Singh’s post-mortem will be conducted at Ashoknagar District Hospital. Police inspected the crime scene and started an investigation.
