According to police, the accused attacked her with a knife at a busy intersection in full public view. After the attack, the accused reportedly wiped his blood-stained hands with the woman’s dupatta. Police said the man fainted shortly after the murder and fell on the road. On Tuesday morning, around 11 a.m., she was waiting for her bus at the Amgaon intersection when the accused arrived on a motorcycle. Witnesses said he had taken a lift from another person to reach the location. The two spoke briefly before an argument broke out. The accused then pulled out a knife and began attacking Ritu, who collapsed on the road in a pool of blood. Despite the crowd present, no one approached to stop him due to fear of the weapon. The accused, reportedly a resident of Motinala in Garhi, had known the victim for about five years. Police said the two were in contact earlier, but Ritu had recently stopped communicating with him, which appears to have angered the accused. After the attack, police detained the suspect and admitted him to a hospital under custody. ASP Shukla confirmed that the body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem examination.
