A big opportunity has emerged for youth preparing for government jobs in Madhya Pradesh. The Professional Examination Board (PEB) has announced recruitment for 454 posts under Group-2 and Sub Group-3 across 42 departments and organizations. The last date to apply is November 12, and the online examination will be held from December 13 at 12 centers, including Bhopal, Indore, and Ujjain. Application and correction deadlines The online application process began on October 29 and will remain open until midnight of November 12. Applicants can edit or correct their forms until November 17. The exam will be conducted in two shifts — morning and afternoon, and pay scales will vary according to the post. Range of posts across various sectors The recruitment drive includes positions ranging from Assistant Engineer to Manager and Data Entry Operator. Vacancies are spread across major municipal corporations like Bhopal and Indore, as well as state-level departmental offices. Objection airsed by Bhopal Municipal Corporation The Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has raised an objection to 17 posts listed in this recruitment, including 15 Assistant Engineer (Civil) positions, 1 Electrical, and 1 Mechanical post. In a Council meeting held on October 30, members argued that these are Category-II posts, for which the PEB does not have the authority to conduct recruitment. Following the meeting, BMC Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi instructed Commissioner Sanskruti Jain to send an official letter to the PEB requesting removal of the Assistant Engineer positions from the recruitment list. However, as of now, the letter has not yet reached the PEB.
