Out of the country’s 10 largest companies by market valuation, seven saw their value decrease by ₹88,635 crore in this week’s trading. During this period, telecom service provider Bharti Airtel was the top loser. The company’s value decreased by ₹30,506 crore to reach ₹11.41 lakh crore. Additionally, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)’s value also fell by ₹23,680 crore to reach ₹10.83 lakh crore. Meanwhile, three other companies saw their value increase by ₹50,926 crore. During this period, insurance company Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)’s value increased by ₹18,469 crore to reach ₹5.84 lakh crore. Market fell 95 points on Friday On the last trading day of the week Friday, 7 November, Sensex closed 95 points lower at 83,216. Nifty also declined by 17 points, closing at the level of 25,492. Airtel shares fell 4.4%. Tech Mahindra, Trent and Reliance also closed lower. Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel and Bajaj Finserv closed up more than 2%. What is Market Capitalisation?
