The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will hold around one lakh Hindu conferences across the country to mark 100 years of its establishment. These events will include special programmes for youth and will be organised at the locality and block levels. The information was shared by RSS Prachar Pramukh (Publicity Chief) Sunil Ambekar during a press briefing in Jabalpur on Tuesday. All India Executive Board Meeting in Jabalpur A three-day meeting of the RSS’s All India Executive Board will take place in Jabalpur from 30 October.Ambekar said that 407 senior RSS workers, including Sarsanghchalak (chief) Mohan Bhagwat, will attend the meeting. Officials from 46 provinces of the organisation will also be present. Centenary celebration and ‘Panch Parivartan’ campaign The centenary year celebrations of the RSS began in Nagpur on 2 October, on the occasion of Vijayadashami.A key part of these celebrations is the ‘Panch Parivartan’ initiative — a campaign aimed at national transformation through five main areas: Door-to-door contact campaign To spread awareness about these themes, RSS workers will carry out a 25 to 40-day door-to-door campaign between November and January.During their visits, they will discuss family values, social issues, civic responsibility, and the goals of Panch Parivartan. The aim is to strengthen public engagement at the grassroots level. Focus on social situation and action plan Ambekar said that the All India Executive Council meeting will also review the country’s current social situation and plan the Hindu conferences to be held at the Basti and Mandal levels.The upcoming home contact campaign will also be discussed, along with steps to increase participation among youth and strengthen the organisation’s outreach. Youth programmes to promote discipline and service The RSS will organise special programmes for young people to encourage them to work for the nation.Ambekar said, “A large number of youth are joining the RSS ideology. We believe that discipline gives them the right direction.” Intellectual conferences in major cities RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will take part in intellectual conferences in Kolkata, Mumbai and Bengaluru.When asked if the Kashi and Mathura temple issues would be discussed, Ambekar said that all social matters and current circumstances would be considered during the discussions. Tributes to Guru Tegh Bahadur and Birsa Munda The meeting will also focus on marking major anniversaries.Special literature and events will be prepared for the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, who sacrificed his life for Hinduism. In addition, the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda on 15 November will be observed with related programmes and publications. Connecting institutions and communities During the centenary year, institutions, individuals, monasteries, temples, and educational organisations inspired by Panch Parivartan will be contacted.The campaign will be nationwide and comprehensive, ensuring participation at multiple levels. Deliberations on national security and society The Jabalpur meeting will not only focus on religious and social outreach but will also discuss national security and other key issues affecting the country.
