West Indies defeated Bangladesh by 16 runs in the first T20I on Monday night. While batting first after winning the toss, the Caribbean team scored 165 runs, losing 3 wickets. Captain Shai Hope and Rovman Powell stayed unbeaten from West Indian side playing a knock of 46 runs and 44 runs respectively. Powell’s four-six fury vs Bangladesh Rovman Powell batted quickly in the final overs and scored 44 runs off 28 balls at a strike rate of 157.14. He hit one four and 4 sixes in his innings. Powell added 83 runs off 46 balls with captain Shai Hope at the other end. Taskin Ahmed took 2 wickets for Bangladesh. Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain took one wicket.
