Gangrape accused abducts victim’s father in Mauganj:Kidnaps him in Scorpio, enraged villagers block highway; police launch search operation

In Mauganj, the father of a minor gangrape victim was abducted by the rape accused himself, triggering public outrage and a highway blockade. The incident occurred around 9 PM on Saturday, when villagers allege that Pankaj Soni, a resident of the same village, took the victim’s father away in a Scorpio. Even after 12 hours, the police have failed to trace the accused. After learning about the highway blockade, Mauganj ASP Vikram Singh and SDOP Sachi Pathak reached the spot with a police team and tried to pacify the protesters, but the victim’s family refused to clear the road.
