A married woman aged 34 allegedly fell from her flat’s balcony in the Ayodhya Nagar area of Bhopal on Tuesday noon, and died during treatment late Tuesday night, the police reported on Monday. As per police, the woman’s flat was located on the fourth floor of the building, from where she slipped while cleaning the balcony. Victim identified as Archana Kulshreshtha Investigating officer (IO) in the case, Manish Mishra, who is posted at the Ayodhya Nagar police station, told Bhaskar English that the woman who met the ill-fate has been identified as Archana Kulshreshtha (34). She was a resident of a housing society in Ayodhya Nagar, and lived with her husband Amit Kulshreshtha. Police receive information from Jindal hospital On Tuesday night, at around 10 pm, the police received information from doctors at the Jindal hospital regarding Kulshreshtha’s death. They rushed to the scene, and recorded her husband Amit’s statements. Amit told the police that in the noon, at around 12 pm, Archana had been cleaning up her balcony, and water was spilled on the floor. Upon stepping into the balcony, her leg slipped, and she fell on the ground from the fourth floor. The colony residents gathered at the scene and rushed her to the hospital. The doctors told the police that since before, Archana had been receiving treatment for thyroid at the Jindal hospital, and succumbed to her injuries at around 9:30 pm on Tuesday. She had sustained injuries to her head, which led to her death. Case registered, probe underway The Ayodhya Nagar police registered a case of unnatural death on Wednesday, and have begun delving into the details of the incident. The police said that a probe into the incident is underway.
