Indore witnessed three separate murder incidents within about 13 hours since Diwali night. The first occurred around 1 AM on Monday in Palda, Azad Nagar, where 10-12 men attacked their friend with a knife; he died at MY Hospital. The second took place around 1:30 PM on Tuesday in Swarna Bagh Colony, MIG police station area, where 20-year-old Kshitij Khomne was stabbed to death. The third happened around 2:30 PM in Digvijay Nagar Multi, Dwarkpuri, where a family dispute led to shooting, leaving one dead and two injured. First incident: Friend attacked with knife The first attack occurred around 1 AM on Monday in the Palda area of Azad Nagar. Ten to twelve men attacked their own friend, Raja Sonkar (30), with knives during a drinking party near a private bus depot. Raja was taken to MY Hospital by his family but died during treatment. CCTV footage showed Raja stumbling after the attack. Police said Raja had a criminal record and was previously sent out of the district by Sanyogitaganj police. The attackers, including Golu Silawat, Vicky Silawat, Sarfaraz, and others, are being searched. Second incident: Youth stabbed to death The second incident took place around 1:30 PM on Tuesday in Swarna Bagh Colony, MIG police station area. Kshitij Khomne (20) was surrounded by three men who stabbed him in the leg. He was taken to DNS Hospital but died due to excessive bleeding. Police identified the accused as Kalu and two others. Kshitij’s family survives on income from shops they own, and police are working to arrest the suspects. Third incident: Shooting after family dispute The third incident occurred around 2:30 PM on Tuesday in Dwarkpuri police station area, Digvijay Nagar Multi. A long-standing dispute between two families escalated into violence. Mahesh alias Bachchu was shot and later died in MY Hospital. Two others, including Mansoor, were injured. Police said the clash began when Mahesh stabbed Ramesh and his wife during a Diwali gathering. Ramesh’s relatives retaliated by firing shots. Both families had attempted a compromise at the police station earlier, but tensions erupted again. Police are searching for the main accused, including Mithun. DCP Anand Kaladagi confirmed all three cases are under investigation and police have deployed forces to ensure safety in the affected areas.
