Jabalpur’s Gwarighat glows with 51,000 lamps:Laser show on Sanatan theme delight crowd; Minister Rakesh promises Saryu-style development

Around 51,000 lamps were lit on Sunday evening at Gwarighat in Jabalpur, the cultural capital of Madhya Pradesh. On the eve of Diwali, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, saints, local MLAs, and a large crowd attended the Deepotsav celebration. A Sanatan-themed laser show and fireworks were organised, and devotees lit lamps along the Narmada bank. He added that when the festival began, no one imagined it would grow so grand. Narmada Ghats development plan Singh said Maa Narmada is not only the centre of faith but also the life-giver and salvation-giver. The government has decided to develop her ghats on the lines of Saryu, as announced by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Draft and work timeline The development draft will be presented before saints and the media within a week, and the public will be informed soon after. Upgradation work from Jilhari Ghat to Khari Ghat will begin within four months. In two years, the Deepotsav will be celebrated on the newly developed ghats.
