886 grams of gold found in retired excise officer’s locker:Lokayukta raids Indore-Gwalior; Black money reaches ₹25 crore

In Indore, black money figure of retired excise officer Dharmendra Singh Bhadauria has reached 25 crore rupees. On Friday, the Lokayukta team opened lockers belonging to Bhadauria, his wife Seema, and son Suryansh at Bank of Baroda, from which 886 grams of gold were found. Its value has been estimated at around 79 lakh 23 thousand rupees. The Lokayukta investigation also found documents of Bhadauria’s flat in Prince Sky Park, bank accounts in Palasia branch, and an investment of 27.5 lakh rupees in JC Ventures. Currently, the value of seized movable-immovable property has reached 24 crore 97 lakh 26 thousand 859 rupees. According to Lokayukta SP Rajesh Sahay, 1.26 crore rupees were found in the accounts of the accused and family, 13.90 lakh rupees in insurance policies, and a total of four lockers. One of these lockers has been confirmed to be in Etawah, which has been frozen. The investigation has also revealed that Bhadauria’s son Suryans has partnered with Vishal Panwar in Shiva Chinese Wok and taken a 40% stake in Annapurna and Vijaynagar shops, for which a payment of 25 lakh rupees was made. Bhadauria is fond of luxury cars and bikes. A Volvo, Fortuner, two Innovas, and two super bikes have been seized from his house. All vehicles have numbers in the ‘0045’ series. Multiple complaints, suspensions, and a controversial image
Dharmendra Bhadauria’s working style has been controversial from the beginning. He has been suspended once and terminated once. While posted in Indore, Gwalior, Khandwa, Dhar, and Alirajpur, he allegedly maintained connections with the illegal liquor business. According to sources, Bhadauria had taken a petty contract from Alirajpur contractor Rinku Bhatia and had a stake in the liquor business. Lokayukta conducted raids at eight locations in Indore and Gwalior on Wednesday. Initial investigation revealed assets worth Rs 18.59 crore and 4.21 kg gold (worth Rs 5.48 crore). This property was found to be 829% more than Bhadauria’s known income. Additionally, his son and daughter have given a loan of Rs 2.85 crore to one Jitendra Chaudhary. The investigation has so far found evidence of expenses worth Rs 12.51 crore. Son and daughter gave loan of 2.55 crores
An agreement has been found where son Suryansh and daughter Apoorva gave a loan of approximately 2 crores 85 lakhs rupees to one Jitendra Chaudhary. Bank documents also confirm this. Thus, evidence of spending a total of 12 crores, 51 lakhs, 1 thousand 558 rupees has been found from house number 201. It is being reported that Bhadauria’s daughter’s company is also under investigation.
