5 masked men carried out a daring daylight robbery, holding the trader’s wife and daughter hostage at gunpoint. They stole 10 lakh rupees in cash and 12 tolas of gold from the house. The robbery happened on Wednesday afternoon near the Station Road police station area in Morena city. Following the incident, SP Sameer Saurabh arrived at the scene. Fingerprint experts and a dog squad were also called to assist with the investigation. Daughter opened door, miscreants forced their way in Simran, daughter of trader Naval Kishore Gupta, recalled, ‘Around 1:15 PM, someone knocked on the door. I thought it was someone from the shop coming for food. As soon as I opened the door, five armed men pushed inside. They held a pistol to my mouth and took me hostage.’ Pistol held to mother’s temple during robbery Saroj Gupta, the trader’s wife, said, ‘I was going to the bathroom when they entered. They held a pistol to my daughter’s mouth and my temple. They locked us in a room and ransacked the entire house. We were very scared.’ Robbery lasted 45 minutes before culprits fled The robbers looted the house for approximately 45 minutes. They then locked the door from outside and fled the scene. Neighbours and the trader, who was at his shop, were called before the victims were released. Business money and gold were kept at home Naval Kishore Gupta said, ‘I was unaware of the robbery as I was at the shop. There was both cash and gold in the house.
