24 transgender people consumed poison together in the Nandlalpura area of Indore. All have been admitted to MY Hospital. This is reportedly due to a dispute between two groups. Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya said that information was received about approximately 24 transgender people consuming some substance on Wednesday evening in the Pandrinath police station area. Initial investigation revealed they consumed phenyl. The exact substance they consumed will be clear after investigation. Treatment of all affected individuals has begun at MY Hospital. All are reported to be out of danger. ACP Sanyogitaganj is present at the scene. The CMHO has been directed to ensure proper treatment of all affected individuals. The reason for consuming the poisonous substance is not yet clear. Police are investigating the matter. Case of rape and assault had been filed Earlier, a transgender person from the Nandalalapura area had filed a rape case against two media personnel. Based on the complaint, Pandharinath Police Station has registered a case against both accused under sections of rape, assault, and threats, and started an investigation. According to police, the transgender person stated in their complaint that on May 30, 2025, an FIR was registered against their dera’s guru. After this, on June 12, the accused Pankaj Jain came to the dera with his associate Akshay. It is alleged that Pankaj pressured the transgender person to have forced relations and threatened to defame the community and get them involved in police action when refused. Threatened with serious consequences The transgender person says that Pankaj took them to the first floor, forcibly had relations and also assaulted them. Later, they were threatened that if they told anyone about this incident, they would face serious consequences. After the incident, the victim transgender person, informed their guru and gave a written complaint at the police station on Tuesday. The dispute is ongoing between the two factions
