Unknown vehicle hits tribal girl students in Dhar:7 injured, 2 in critical condition; police launch manhunt for unidentified accused driver

Seven tribal girls were hit by an unknown vehicle while walking to school on Saturday. Two of them sustained serious injuries. All the girls have been admitted to Kukshi Community Health Centre. Police have launched a search for the driver. Accident details The girls were walking from the Government Tribal Senior Girls Hostel to school, a distance of about 1.5 kilometres. The unknown vehicle struck them on the way. After the accident, the driver fled the scene. Police have registered a case against the accused driver. Immediate response Upon hearing about the accident, the hostel and school staff rushed to the site. The injured girls were immediately taken to the Civil Hospital in Kukshi. Their families also arrived at the hospital to check on them. Condition of the girls Doctors said that of the seven girls, two suffered serious injuries to the head and legs. The remaining five sustained minor injuries. Treatment continued at the hospital until around 12:30 PM on Saturday.
