After six years, the MP Travel Mart starts in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. Tour operators from 27 countries, 150 domestic operators, 355 sellers, and many film industry professionals will take part. Travel, hotel, and homestay operators will also attend. Key discussions with investors and important sessions will be held with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The event will take place at Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center (Minto Hall) and MVM College Ground. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board says this will be the state’s largest Travel Mart. Minister said – Employment will increase in the field of tourism Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trusts and Endowments Department, informed that with the cooperation of FICCI, this will be one of the largest state-level travel marts. Through this, hoteliers, travel and tour operators, homestay operators and tourism beneficiaries from our state, who are called sellers, will come into contact with prominent hoteliers, travel and tour operators from abroad and within the country, who are called buyers. This will not only increase the number of tourists in Madhya Pradesh, but also open doors for economic progress in the tourism sector. Employment will increase at the local level in the field of tourism. Investment will come in Tourism, Wedding-MICE sector Principal Secretary of the Tourism Department, Shivshekhar Shukla, informed that the Travel Mart will provide opportunities for investment, partnership, and cooperation in the tourism, hospitality, film, wedding, and MICE sectors. More than 3,000 B2B meetings will be organized during the event, which will be the largest business dialogue ever held in Madhya Pradesh’s tourism sector. Additionally, there will be international conferences and round table sessions related to the tourism and film industry, where thematic discussions will be held with state governments (G2G) and wedding and corporate organizers (G2B). Senior officials from the tourism departments of various states, along with the Ministry of Tourism, will participate in this event. Travel Marts held from 2014 to 2018 Travel Marts have been held in the state from 2014 to 2018. Due to Corona, this mart could not be held in the interim. Now, it is going to be restarted with a new look. Through this, the state’s rich tourism products, heritage, wildlife, rural culture, handicrafts, cuisine, and film tourism will be showcased on a single platform. More than 120 stalls will be set up here, featuring the state’s handloom and handicraft products. A live demo of Gond Art and Chanderi Saree will be held. Stalls of stakeholders will also be included. Investment promotion, agreements for new tourism projects, and collaborative announcements under the film policy will also be made. Among the special cultural performances, a group dance presentation of approximately 40 minutes, showcasing the natural beauty and historical heritage of Madhya Pradesh, directed by renowned dance choreographer Maitreyi Pahari, and a special performance by the Maihar Band, a symbol of the state’s musical identity, will be featured. Additionally, folk dance and tribal dance performances will be presented to introduce the state’s cultural heritage and tribal traditions. Local cuisine and traditional folk culture will make this event even more vibrant. Investors’ Discussion with the Chief Minister During the event, one-to-one investor sessions will be organized with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Along with this, panel discussions focused on tourism possibilities will also be held. Among these, two main sessions will be a special highlight. The first session, ‘Madhya Pradesh: From Hidden Gem to Global Icon’, will focus on the state’s heritage, wildlife, eco-tourism, and festivals.
