Minor girl assaulted near Rewa police station:Was returning from school; victim reported repeated harassment before the horrific attack

A minor student was raped in the Garh police station area of Rewa on Tuesday, October 7th. The victim was walking home from school when the incident occurred. The perpetrator, identified as Mohammad Irfan, ambushed the girl. He silenced her, dragged her into nearby bushes, and raped her. The girl’s screams alerted people nearby, who rushed to her aid. Irfan attempted to flee, but locals were unable to catch him. The police were immediately informed. Police apprehended the accused, who had been harassing the victim for several days, staring at and following her to and from school, causing her considerable fear. Attempted escape foiled Irfan was arrested near the Uttar Pradesh border while attempting to evade capture. He has been remanded to judicial custody in jail.
