Final rites of 11 victims in Khandwa concludes collectively:Entire village mourns in grief, political leaders, including CM slated to pay visit

The final rites of the eleven people who died during a Durga idol immersion in Khandwa were conducted on Friday. On Thursday, a tractor-trolley carrying around 30 people capsized in the dam’s backwater. The victims, aged between 8 and 25, included children and young women. Eight-year-old Chanda’s body was the last to be retrieved, while her two younger sisters played nearby, unaware of her death. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Congress state president Jeetu Patwari are scheduled to visit the village to meet the grieving families.
