The body of missing child Shubham was recovered on Friday morning, nearly 19 hours after a tractor-trolley plunged into the Chambal River during a deity idol immersion. The accident occurred on Wednesday when villagers from Pirjhlar brought a tractor-trolley for the ritual. A child accidentally turned the tractor key, causing it to move into the river. Twelve children fell into the water, and rescue teams managed to save 11, though some were critically injured. Earlier, the bodies of Prithviraj (16) and Ansh (8) were retrieved and cremated together in Pirjhlar on Thursday evening. Two other children, Aditya (10) and Vansh (6), were referred to Indore for treatment. The tragedy has left the village in mourning, raising concerns over safety measures during idol immersion events.
