Tractor-trolley plunges into Chambal river in Ujjain:7 devotees rescued, one missing as accident occurs during goddess idol immersion; rescue teams continue search

A tractor-trolley carrying devotees fell into the Chambal River near Ingoria in Ujjain during the immersion of a goddess idol. In the accident eight people were submerged in the river. While seven of them were rescued, one person is still missing. Four of the rescued individuals were admitted to Gautampura Hospital for treatment. Their condition is currently being monitored. Police and rescue teams on alert Police personnel and State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) teams, along with local villagers, are engaged in a rescue operation to trace the missing person. Cause of the accident Preliminary reports suggest that the mishap occurred when a 12-year-old boy accidentally turned the ignition key of the tractor.
