A 24-year-old medical store employee was assaulted by three to four men in Gadarwara of Narsinghpur district on Tuesday night.
The attackers severed his private part and, assuming he was dead, left him in the bushes. Attack occurred on NTPC road The incident took place around 9:45 pm near Sudras Bridge on NTPC Road while the victim was returning home from his medical shop. The assailants, arriving on a bike and a four-wheeler, blocked his path and subjected him to a severe beating. Multiple stab wounds were inflicted on his abdomen and other parts of his body with a knife. Victim survives, hospitalized in Jabalpur Despite his critical injuries, the victim regained consciousness and managed to inform his family. He was immediately taken to Gadarwara Civil Hospital and later referred to Jabalpur Medical Hospital for specialized treatment. Doctors have reported that his condition is currently stable. Family and community protest Following the attack, the victim’s family and local residents staged a protest on Wednesday in Gadarwara. They demanded the immediate arrest of the attackers and submitted a memorandum to the authorities. SDOP Ratnesh Mishra stated that a special police team from three local stations has been formed to apprehend the culprits.
