Following his transfer, supporters of the local MLA celebrated with fireworks, calling it a win for democracy. It is noteworthy that Bhind Collector Sanjeev Srivastava had a dispute with Bhind MLA Narendra Singh Kushwah on August 27. MLA Narendra Singh Kushwah had reached Collector Sanjeev Srivastava’s bungalow on the said date regarding the farmers’ fertilizer problem. Here, a dispute arose between the two, and the argument escalated to the point where they almost came to blows. This incident made headlines across the country. Taking this dispute seriously, the BJP organization summoned Bhind MLA Narendra Singh Kushwah to Bhopal and severely reprimanded him. Finally, after 34 days, Bhind Collector’s name was also included in the transfer list of administrative officers. As soon as this news surfaced, an atmosphere of joy was seen among MLA supporters and mafias across the district. Fireworks were set off at many places and people distributed sweets. Meanwhile, social workers and other people of the district, calling the Collector’s transfer an administrative process, wrote on social media that he worked in Bhind for 2 years in a strong, impartial, and honest manner. In a discussion with Dainik Bhaskar, the city’s renowned lawyer Saumya Sharma said that in her opinion, the Collector is a person of honest image. Administrative strictness was brought by him. In legal work, he would take immediate action instead of delaying. He would resolve court-related files immediately instead of pending them. He might not be good for some people, especially those who wanted to get work done according to their will, or people associated with mafia, adulteration, and other illegal activities. For those people, the Collector can be considered a bad administrator.” Fireworks on Etawah Road. On Etawah Road in Bhind city, MLA supporter Abhishek Singh Bhadauria, while setting off fireworks, said, “No matter how big an officer considers himself to be, this is a democracy. Bureaucracy will not work here. The transfer of Bhind Collector is a victory for democracy.”
