Committee members are Leader of Opposition’s objections to Commission appointments Regarding the appointment process, the Leader of Opposition asked whether nominations are being made or applications have been invited? The Leader of Opposition alleges that Supreme Court and High Court orders are not being followed in appointments. The government had filed an affidavit in court before the last Lok Sabha elections that appointments would be made within three months. That was not followed. The applications that have been called include applications from selected sections of society only. To benefit special people, information about vacant posts was given confidentially only to those people and applications were invited from them only.
