Father dangles 9-year-old son outside moving car in Ujjain:Police intercept vehicle, man apologises and says, ‘Was doing it for fun’; legal action to follow

In Ujjain, a father dangled his 9-year-old son out of a moving car late at night. A passing policeman noticed and alerted the control room. The police soon stopped the car and reprimanded the father, who claimed he was doing it for fun. The incident happened around midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday near Chamunda Mata Square. Constable Sarvesh Malviya of Chimanganj Mandi police station saw the child hanging out of the driver’s side of a Fortuner and immediately reported it via radio. On seeing police, driver Deepak Pamnani apologised holding his ears. When TI Solanki asked why he was driving dangerously, Deepak admitted, “I was doing stunts for fun.” Solanki scolded him, saying, “This is not a joke. You are putting a child’s life at risk.” No legal action taken immediately No legal action was taken immediately as the incident occurred late at night. However, on Wednesday (September 24) morning, the Madhav Nagar Police have been instructed to begin legal proceedings against the father.
